The firm has built up a reputation as a solutions provider

The new owners of London-based wide-format firm Displayways have targeted becoming the market leader following their purchase of the company.

Rob Kelly and Peter Sheldrick have assumed full control of the business from outgoing managing director, Wendy Richards, for an undisclosed sum.

“I am excited to be involved with such a well respected business. It will be my aim to build upon the great work done by Wendy and her team,” says Kelly.

He adds: “I have no doubt that Displayways current solid business will provide a great platform from which we can grow to become the market leader we have the ambition to be.”

The business was started in 1991 by Wendy Richards and since then has provided bespoke display solutions for the retail and visitor markets. The company’s success has seen it attract clients such as Prada and National Air Traffic Services.

Kelly will become the firm’s new managing director, with Sheldrick becoming operations director.

Richards says she is ‘extremely proud’ of the firm’s achievements under her stewardship but ‘it is time to move on’.

She continues: “The individuals that are taking the business over are well known and respected in the industry. I have no doubt that they will take the business on to new levels for the benefit of them all. I may well remain as a consultant to provide some continuity.”
