John E Wright targets efficiency with Clarity

Major sign and display firm John E Wright is targeting efficiency savings, following its purchase of Clarity Professional MIS software.

The Nottingham-based firm say that prior to the investment, it found that it was restricted by different sites working alone, and a labourious paper-based system.

“Employees were becoming frustrated as they knew we could make the business much more efficient, through implementing Clarity” says John E Wright, IT director, Alan Edwards.

As some firms are reporting that margins are beginning to be squeezed by increased competition, many are investing in MIS as a way of cutting production costs.

Having the flexibility to allocate jobs to different shop floors is huge for us, as it means we can use the best machine for the job

The firm claims that additional benefits are being able to quote jobs more accurately, improved communication with customers, as well as being able to send jobs to the best machine for the application.

Edwards continues: “Having the flexibility to allocate jobs to different shop floors is huge for us, as it means we can use the best machine for the job.

“In many cases, get it produced quicker by using Clarity’s capacity planning functionality. Our customers reap the benefits in service as we do in efficiency.”
