Investment spurs B Print growth
Retail brands-focused B Print and Display has opted to expand its product portfolio, following a growth in demand for its services
The Cramlington-based firm installed a HP Scitex FB7600 industrial press eight months ago, and has since claimed to see business increase by 40 percent. With the first investment proving such a success, it has now purchased a second model of the press in order to increase capacity further.
“We experienced such an increase in demand from our retail customers that we had to install the second FB7600 to keep up,” said managing director, Will Skelchy, who adds: “The first press had been running round the clock, so the purchase of the second was imperative to meeting our customer’s needs.”
The first investment has allowed B Print and Display to offer a more diverse range of applications, and the firm has also experimented with substrates to see how it can boost its service offering further.
“The HP Scitex FB7600 provides our customers with more possibilities as we have the ability to offer a wide range of applications on more varied substrates, including carpets, rubber flooring and glass,” explains business development manager, Dan Skelchy, adding: “The capability to print straight onto corrugated board has been a great benefit to us – this is perfect for display signs and point-of-purchase.
“The new press has really allowed us to reach out to new markets and our customers old and new have been very impressed with the results, especially with rubber flooring.”
