Friedheim sights laser on UK trade shows

Finishing equipment specialist, Friedheim International, is seeing its business strategy pay off as it celebrates a successful showing at Sign and Digital UK and looks forward to FESPA 2013.

The company, which has an extensive portfolio of equipment spanning the visual communications market, brought its new Lasercomb Prodigi Neo cutting table to Sign and Digital UK to address a growth in demand for such systems.

Capable of operating at up to 100m/min the system features three tangentially controlled tool holders that are capable of handling up to seven different tools. The new development also has a vacuum bed that is divided into sections and can be manipulated with electronic adjustment, and features automatic digital compensation of table flatness.

With six bed size formats ranging from 800 x 1300 to 3100 x 2500mm, a further interesting facet of the NEO is that it uses no compressed air for operation and is billed as, ‘near silent in operation’.

Developing momentum since its first showing at Sign and Digital UK 2012, Friedheim is now a strong position to supply wide-format finishing equipment to both diversified commercial printers and sign-makers.

Its FESPA stand (A50S) will see the NEO equipped with a conveyor belt and cutting out shapes of printed Accylux plastic board by using the ‘Digi Print Mark’ scanning system.  A second NEO will using the same system to mill printed items from Dibond, Acryl, and PVC hard foam boards.
