Rocket takes Vutek QS for wallcoverings market
Watford-based wide-format firm Rocket has revealed that a focus on the wallcoverings market, was key to its purchase of an EFI QS Vutek
“We have a lot of requirements to produce three metre wide wall wraps for sports and hospitality events and the QS was essential for that,” explains managing director, Tim Porter.
He adds: “We're able to do long runs, up to 20 and 30 metres which go straight to site. We're concentrating a lot of on that type of work.”
The 3.2m-wide device will also increase the substrate choice that the firm can print on, including glass, while Porter also highlights the growing soft signage market as one that has been opened up by the purchase.
“We've been able to start printing quite a lot of fabric and soft image graphics, which was something we did before to an extent, but with the flexible inks on the QS, we've been doing a lot more soft image work which is really high quality,” says Porter.
