Promotional products and advertising specialist, Excel Promotions, has become one of the UK’s latest print-service-providers to invest in a direct-to-substrate flatbed printer, allowing it to offer short-runs of print onto the majority of its products.

Company founder, Paul Kelly, explains how the new kit will enable the company to grow: “Throughout our time in business we have established strong working relationships with our customers and have constantly invested in the latest technology. As we print onto such a varied range of materials for our clients, we wanted to be able to expand our range and be able to turn work around for our clients quickly.”

The company opted for the Mimaki UJF-3042HG LED UV, which is an A3 sized, ‘cold cure’ printer, with the choice of hard or flexible inks depending on the application.

Excel Promotions will now be able to tap into the lucrative corporate gift market, with the ability brand and personalise everything from pens to smart phones in full-colour with the UJF-3042HG.
