The main driver for the move came from an increased demand in the firm’s built up lettering, as Paul Hicks, marketing and office manager for Trade Signs, explains: “In February 2012 we came across the age old supply and demand problem, where we had huge amounts of orders for built up lettering that we couldn’t supply in a reasonable time frame.”
He continues: “The move to our new larger premises in Tring, Hertfordshire in November 2012 enabled us to meet the existing demand, grow the business further and challenge the industry to be more customer focused—we have since reduce the average lead-time to around the six day mark.”
It is clear the new premises has taken us to a different level with what we can offer to our customers”
The firm is now approaching its one year anniversary at the new premises, and the benefits the move has brought the business are tangible.
“It is clear the new premises has taken us to a different level with what we can offer to our customers,” explains Hicks, who adds: “We are now able to work on much larger scale projects, as well as any day-to-day signage requirements.
“No two days are the same and no two customers’ requirements are the same; we understand the importance of being flexible and open to new ideas. It is the only true way to grow our business.”
