Lighting up the fashion world

The fashion store Whistles at St Pancras Station in London has been fitted out with lighting signage from the Essex firm W&Co.

Two years ago the sign company installed light boxes as part of a refit at Whistles’ Mayfair store in Dover Street with FabriLite Slim LEDs. The units were selected for what W&Co describe as their, ‘ultra slim design and premium quality build to complement the flagship's sleek and minimalist décor’.

Whistles says that both singer Sade and the actress Charlotte Rampling are fans of the sleek style of their clothing ranges with the cut being the most important motif of their collections

The Essex outfit worked with Whistles’ designers at CJF Designs supplying several large format light boxes for the store’s interiors with one light box measuring 4 x 3m, which needed to be manufactured in parts and then assembled on site.

The company says that one of the main advantages of tension fabric systems is that one seamless printed graphic can be stretched across the entire face of the complete light box to create high impact visual ef-fects with edge-to-edge display graphics.

Whistles says that both singer Sade and the actress Charlotte Rampling are fans of the sleek style of their clothing ranges with the cut being the most important motif of their collections. Incidentally the sleek light boxes were installed in time for last autumn’s London Fashion Week.
