“The amazing fact is that we already have all the elements in place now to put on a solid national commercial print exhibition,” says the exhibition’s director, Chris Davies.

He continues: “But, as we have sailed past our initial targets, we are now more motivated than ever to create an event that is not just solid, but exceptional. I feel very privileged to be in this position as an event organiser, and it is a testament to the sheer grit, hard work, and determination of my team. We are now easily on course to have 100 founding exhibitors, for a first year national show that is a fantastic achievement.”

Billing itself as ‘The UK show for the UK print industry’, the event is already significantly larger than the only comparable sector event of North Print and Pack—which last took place in 2013 before it was cancelled by Informa Exhibitions. It can also count a range of major hitters on its floorplan, with Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Oki, Xpress On Demand, and Riso leading the small-format digital field, while the large-format contingent are currently formed by Roland DG, Epson, Mimaki, Seiko, and Ricoh again—which are going to be represented through Grafityp, Sign-master Systems, Colourbyte, PrintMax, and Ricoh.

“The exhibitor list just keeps stacking up. For example, the 204sq m IPIA stand is only being counted singularly at the moment,” explains Davies, adding: “But it is due to host up to 20 separate trade suppliers to the print industry by itself once completed.

“We really wanted to avoid doing what has so embarrassed other trade shows—putting down exhibitors on the list before they have actually signed their contracts, only to see them drop of the list when the show actually opens its doors.”
