AXYZ’s Trident to spearhead SDUK strategy

AXYZ International has revealed plans to launch its Trident 6010 hybrid digital print finishing machine at Sign and Digital UK, where the company will be in attendance on Stand F20.

The larger-format integrated triple-head device has been developed in response to demand from digital print finishers looking to resolve problems relating to the need to process a larger range of flexible and rigid substrates that require wider, longer and deeper processing capabilities, while at the same time not having the to purchase separate machines to carry out all routing and cutting requirements.

The AXYZ Trident 6010 features a 10hp routing spindle, which the manufacturer says can handle the most demanding applications, as well as both oscillating and tangential knife-cutting units that are interchangeable.

The units are also capable of processing a wide range of rigid or flexible substrates such as acrylic and plastics, foamed and corrugated board, vinyl, cardboard, and paper. In addition, a longer-stroke knife unit will allow the use of blades of up to 120mm in length for processing thicker materials.

Other key features on the model include a rigid steel construction, which AXYZ says will better accommodate more vigorous machine operation, as well as an exclusive live vacuum deck, and integrated helical rack, and pinion drive system.

Optional extras for the new Trident 6010 include an expanded Automatic Tool Change facility, as well as the latest AXYZ Vision System, the latter of which the manufacturer ensures ‘precise’ registration mark location to guarantee 100 percent routing and cutting accuracy.
