On the digital display, retailers are able to announce new product lines, show off clothes better, and even show videos of models wearing the clothes available in the store. Then, customers can reach for the rail and find the exact product they want.
The clothes rail is made in the UK and the illuminated shelf is provided by UK company Pixalux.
The 49? clothing rail has a width of 680mm and a height of 1600mm, along with 70W of power. It also comes with a Pi Cube media player included.
The Digital Clothes Rail can also be purchased with a video analytics tool. This version will have a camera attached with video analytics software from Affecto, which allows retailers to find out how many people have looked at the digital display, whether they are male or female, their age, and how long they looked at the screen.
This information is hidden on the screen, but appears on a dashboard on the computer, and can be used to analyse the effectiveness of new products or adverts.
The Digital Clothing Rail was shortlisted for Retail Digital Signage Expo (RDSE) Innovation Trail and Awards and therefore was highlighted on the Winners Wall at the event.
