Social media driving livery and wrapping growth

Express Signs (Yorkshire) has reported a month-on-month rise in demand for new trade van liveries and a marked increase in the level of quality and speciality materials used for such commissions.

The company cites social media as a key driving force behind the trend. SMEs share the contemporary new wraps and liveries of their vehicle fleets online, thus showcasing what is possible and prompting ‘me too’ commissions.

One of its customers, Tudor Joinery, is a key example cited by Express Signs. It had been seeking a company to add a higher impact and fresh look to its van and came across Express Signs on social media platform Facebook. After speaking with the company, it was established that the van would be given a complete overhaul and fresh look.

Perhaps the best part is the big effect delivered by just a little Exterior Polish. It may not be seen much but when it is, it really turns heads

Express Signs called on Metamark to support the project and opted for the firm’s Brick swatch, calling on various shades of grey in the M7 range. As a result, every part of the final livery was cut and applied Metamark M7, with the exception of Exterior Polish.

Relfecting on the project, Express Signs says in a statement: “ The client is absolutely delighted with his new livery and Express Signs’s work is now out there in the locality and beyond. There’s no doubt about it, Express Signs and Tudor Joinery are going to be seeing work generated as a direct result.

Metamark’s chief executive officer Paul French comments: “Every part of the livery is cut and applied Metamark M7, Exterior Polish aside, and the application skills shine though. Perhaps the best part is the big effect delivered by just a little Exterior Polish. It may not be seen much but when it is, it really turns heads.”
