Faversham rides the green trail

Sign and Digital UK organiser, Faversham House Group, has announced that the show’s 2013 installment will see the return of smash hit exhibition feature, the ‘Green Trail’.

The Green Trail at Sign and Digitial UK 2013 will highlight environmentally-friendly products and their commercial benefits

“The Green Trail was very successful at Sign and Digital UK 2012 with exhibitors noticing an increase in discussions around eco-friendly products and visitors now actively enquiring about energy consumption and recycled materials. We invite our exhibitors to make us aware of any products being shown at the event that will fit this new initiative,” explains Sign and Digital UK marketing manager, Alan Caddick.

He adds: “There will be a good mix of products on the Green Trail list including ink and media manufacturers, printers, and recyclable display products, not to mention sustainable solutions from the digital signage sector.”

Sign and Digital UK will also be addressing the issues surrounding green production practices at its inaugural Great Debate

The Green Trail will be heavily promoted through the extensive marketing campaign leading up to the show, and highlighted in the showguide and floorplan so visitors can easily identify which stands are taking part. All applications for the Green Trail will be vetted to ensure they conform to environmentally-friendly and sustainable criteria.

The exhibition feature was founded due to the increasing demand from sign-buyers for products that conform to increasingly stringent corporate social responsibility standards. While focus on green issues waned from 2008 to 2010 due to recessionary pressures, the trend is once again gathering critical mass.

Sign and Digital UK will also be addressing the issues surrounding green production practices at its inaugural Great Debate, which will be held in late January and televised via signlinktv.com.
