DuPont helps retailers recycle signage

DuPont has introduced a new scheme that is making it easier for retailers to recycle entire Tyvek and Tyvek Vivia displays.

Print companies and their clients are urged to sign up for the scheme

The Lifecycle Based Solutions initiative saw DuPont partner Waste Management to create a convenient recycling kit and programme.

Waste Management now recycles banners and reprocesses them into resin—which in turn is re-purposed for a number of uses.

Waste Management also gathers data relating to the Tyvek recycling scheme by scanning a barcode on the recycling kit envelope. The material owner can then receive a certificate that details how much Tyvek is recycled.

Print facilities and clients using Tyvek can sign up at recycletyvek.com to receive a recycling kit, which includes an expandable Tyvek envelope capable of holding 250sq ft of Tyvek material.
