Lakeside Films’ won a new police contract using Avery Dennison technology

Following a landmark test, Celevedon-based Lakeside Films, distributor for Avery Dennison, has convinced its two local Police authorities to entirely switch the supply of their reflective and graphics films.

To achieve the feat, Lakeside Films’ managing director Scott Horne conducted a series of stringent trials at cost on twelve emergency service vehicles lasting a total of 18 months to prove the efficacy of the films.

The two authorities have now fully switched to using Avery Dennison T-7500 MVP fluorescents and Avery Dennison HV 1302 REV retro-reflective films.

Reportedly the deciding factor was their omni-directional capability—seeing a drop of 7 to 10 percent in cost through more efficient plotter nesting—and consistent brighter reflectivity with no ‘dead-spots’ over the period.
