MTEX launch speedy direct-to-fabric

POD Iberia has launched a new direct-to-fabric textile printer that the manufacturer claims will print at speeds up to three times faster than any other direct sublimation machine on the market

The machine will print up to 1.8m wide

The MTEX Turbo Sub is on the firm's stand at FESPA 2013 at the London ExCel which opened earlier today.

POD say the deviice, which prints at speeds up to 110sq m/hr and resolutions that max out at 1200 dpi, will create a 'completely revolutionary' market. It uses six Ricoh G5 printheads has been incorporated into the design allowing the Turbo Sub to reach the speeds.

The machine has a list price of €134,500 (£115,000) and will be sold in the UK through reseller Digital Print Innovations.
