Sign and Digital: the show is bigger and better this year

Back in the day the show was simply known as the Sign UK show, but with the advance of digital wide-format printing the event has grown to embrace the new technologies adopted by the industry.

To mark this year’s show, Sign and Digital UK has commissioned a three part documentary about the show’s past, present, and future, which will be screened online before the show itself.

This year’s event is set to be the largest yet with a long list of the biggest names in the business, along with many smaller firms, planning on showcasing their services. It has long been seen as a business show with many of the thousands who attend the NEC planning on buying kit, putting in orders for signs, seeking information on the wide-format print market, and investigating neon, LED, and smart signage.

Featuring this year is Quality Print Services (QPS) who will be demonstrating Nazdar inks. At its first public showcase since achieving authorised Roland dealer status, QPS will be running the Roland VersaArt RE-640 large-format inkjet printer with Nazdar TX650 dye-sublimation inks. The 1.6m-wide Roland VersaArt RE-640 offers a low-cost, productive unit printing onto heat transfer paper for the production of flags and soft signage, sports apparel, ceramic, and rigid applications.

The show’s website gives a long list of the latest exhibitors and will publish a floor plan revealing the layout. Sign and Digital says there will also be demos and stand learning programmes presented by exhibitors.

The event runs from Tuesday, April 29th to Thursday, May 1st at the Birmingham NEC.
