Wright stuff: the Midlands firm is on the up

Wrights GPX based in West Bromwich has announced a 40 percent growth in turnover, and aims for further growth in both turnover and staff for the rest of the year.

The sign firm and plastic manufacturer reported a turnover of £6.5million this spring with plans to expand throughout 2014 and business continues to grow. Established in 1969 Wrights Plastics supply products to a wide variety of industries and have a large sign-making and point-of-sale section with clients including Marks and Spencer, Selfridges, and The John Lewis Partnership.

The increase in turnover has also resulted in an increase in staff says the company with eight new workers last year and another eight set to join later this year

The increase in turnover has also resulted in an increase in staff says the company with eight new workers last year and another eight set to join later this year. This would be a boost to the local area and would bring the total workforce to almost 90. The company says they have invested over £500,000 in new equipment and aims at similar levels of investment in the year ahead.

Managing Director Mike Wright said this week: “These really are fantastic figures and I’d like to thank everyone in the team for all the hard work and initiative in the past twelve months.”
