Jeppe Frandsen of Canon Europe says the technology can help Canon users to grow their business

Canon says the UVgel technology when coupled with its new roll-to-roll printers will offer large-format printers, “an unprecedented combination of productivity, image quality, application range, automation, and low cost of operation”. Canon adds that the UV curable instantly gels on contact with the media, which results in “precise dot placement” and area control for “perfectly repeatable images” at high speed.

This new technology will power an upcoming generation of roll-to-roll printers that will help our customers increase their print production efficiency while lowering their operating costs, enabling them to profitably grow their business

Expanding on this, Jeppe Frandsen, executive vice-president industrial and production solutions at Canon Europe, says: “We have been working diligently in response to these demands, to offer PSPs and resellers a real step forward in roll-to-roll production printing.

“This new technology will power an upcoming generation of roll-to-roll printers that will help our customers increase their print production efficiency while lowering their operating costs, enabling them to profitably grow their business.”
