RTI and Winjet hit the wide-format road
Industry supplier, Reprographic Technology International (RTI), has been announced as the official re-seller of the Winjetcolor Vortex 4200. The news has come with the announcement that in celebration it will be hosting a series of roadshows to showcase the technology from February 5th to 8th.

The new Winjetcolor VorteX 4200 is capable of printing in colour at speeds of up to 300mm per second (1100 sq m/hr). RTI will be introducing the printer in the UK first and then rolling it out to continental Europe, and subsequently North America.

Powered by Memjet’s inkjet technology, the new Winjetcolor Vortex 4200 is capable of printing on material up to 1067mm (42") wide, with a resolution of 1600dpi. It also features a two-roll in-feed with additional sheet feed, a 200m roll length, and using water-based inks offers an environmentally-friendly printing solution.
A key feature of the new model, the Memjet printheads claim to be eight times faster than traditional inkjet printheads. Using ‘waterfall’ technology, each of the five printheads contain 70,400 nozzles and ‘fire’ millions of ink drops per second.
