The murals combine wellbeing with sound management
The Muffle Mural is a selection of printed acoustic felt wall coverings, designed to increase wellbeing through linking nature and buildings whilst managing the acoustics of an inside space.
To bring the murals to life, AllSfär collaborated with Richard Osbourne, a photographer who specialises in creating super-high resolution landscape images.
Describing itself as a “firm believer in the restorative power of nature”, the collaboration enabled AllSfär to create a way for its clients to incorporate nature into workplace designs.
Murals of nature that actually quieten the ambient noise are an incredibly positive addition to the workplace and other environments”
To create the murals, Osbourne’s images, which can be printed up to 20 metres wide and over four metres high, are printed onto 12mm PET felt panels made of 50% recycled content. The printing process colours the actual fibres without compromising the acoustic performance or image quality.
Morgan Doouss, founder of AllSfär, comments: “We’re very excited by our collaboration with Richard and the positive response from the art and design community.
“It has always been our aim to do things a little differently and Muffle Mural combines design aesthetics with acoustic practicality, creating an innovative design-led solution to managing workplace acoustics.”

AllSfär collaborated with Osbourne to bring the murals to life
Since the launch of the Muffle Mural in January this year, the product has been shortlisted by Mix Interiors as a Surface Product of the Year at Mixology19.
Richard Osbourne adds: “I’m delighted to be working with AllSfär. My super-high resolution nature images evoke the peace and quiet of nature, especially when printed at full wall size. AllSfär’s Muffle Mural provides literal peace and quiet – a win-win for biophilic design.
“I, along with many other people, find excess noise very distracting, even exhausting sometimes. Murals of nature that actually quieten the ambient noise are an incredibly positive addition to the workplace and other environments, especially since they can be easily retrofitted without needing to refurbish or redesign.”
